Description
EYETURATE is a saturation plug-in for mono and stereo tracks. The pupil of its eye is the knob: turn it for anything from a touch of warmth to thick, tube-style drive. A low shelf and a high bell sit before the saturation, so you choose what gets driven. Soft Clip rounds peaks off and holds them at a ceiling you set. Four-times oversampling keeps the top end clean. And the eye is alive: it glows with the signal, and with LIVE EYE on it follows the cursor, looks around and blinks.
What it does
- Warm saturation. One knob, 0 to 100%. An original, tube-inspired curve with level compensation as you turn it up. Not a copy of a hardware unit.
- LOWS and HIGHS. A low shelf from 20 to 100 Hz and a high bell from 1 to 16 kHz, each with up to 12 dB of boost, both before the saturation.
- Soft Clip with a ceiling. Rounds peaks off and holds them at the level you set, from −18 to −0.1 dBFS.
- Oversampling. Four times at 44.1 and 48 kHz, twice at higher rates.
- Honest in the host. Every control can be automated. Latency is fixed at 47 samples and reported, and bypass stays in time.
- LIVE EYE. A real-time 3D eye that glows with the signal, follows the cursor, looks around and blinks.
What it does not do in version 1.0: no presets, no mid/side, no mix knob, and no macOS, AU or AAX version yet. Soft Clip limits sample peaks, not true peaks.
